Cluver Family Harvest Day

All aboard! Make your day out in the Elgin valley extra memorable with the rare opportunity to travel by train from the Train Lodge Hotel in Cape Town to Paul Cluver Wines.

Your meeting point is the Train Lodge Hotel in Cape Town, operated by Atlantic Rail, with departure at 09h00 sharp. Step inside the vintage wooden-bodied coaches (dating back to 1922 – 1938), pulled by a diesel engine, and enjoy the scenic two-hour journey along the tracks to the gates of Paul Cluver Wines. The route takes you over the famous Sir Lowry’s Pass, with unspoilt views across the Helderberg basin and False Bay. Don’t forget your camera!

A welcoming party of gleaming John Deere tractors will be waiting to transport you in true farm style to the Cluver Family Harvest Day festivities. Once you’ve sipped, tasted and experienced the very best that Paul Cluver Wines has to offer, it’ll be time to board the train once again and relax on the afternoon trip back home.
