With winter fast approaching our new release Chardonnay 2016 is guaranteed take the edge off those chilly nights. 100% wild fermented in a selection of French oak barrels. (20% new, the rest 2nd; 3rd and 4th fill.) the wine was left on the lees for a total of nine months without Sulphur being added. Only 10% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation - all without inoculation to allow for added freshness and the perfect acidity.

The wine is bursting with buttered brioche aromas on the nose with the slightest hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine displays an abundance of tangerine fruit and citrus blossom flavours, with nuances of vanilla pod and almond flakes. Yum! The fine, fresh acidity is natural, and adds poise and focus to the wine. The ideal food wine, the Estate Cluver Chardonnay 2016 works beautifully with fish, poultry, pork and game bird dishes. It loves creamy pasta and salmon dishes too. Mussel soup has also been known to enhance the flavours of this robust wine.
